Steering wheel options quesstions

got the 04 with the big honking steering wheel... want to maintain the airbag and saw the steering wheel of an 05 and I think it's got a smaller diameter... that's kind of what I'm looking for...

multiple questions for you guys:

does anyone know the specs of the diameters of the '04 4-spoke steering wheel and that of the '05 3-spoke wheel? also, is the airbag hook up easy?

I don't want the airbag blowing up in my face if I am to install it during the installation process and I want to know if they are interchangeable...

another question, does anyone have an '05 steering wheel for sale

Do you do much highway driving? If so, you may want to stick with the MOMO wheel. The 3-spoke wheel on my '07 (same as the '05 I believe) is somewhat awkward when you're cruising on the highway because you can't rest your hand at the bottom of the wheel. My old Celica had a wheel similar to the MOMO Subaru wheel, and it was really nice to be able to steer from the 6-O'clock position.

Just something to consider, though I agree with you that the 3-spoke wheel is really nice looking and under normal driving conditions it's great

I'm thinking more of the diameter, I like a tighter quicker feel... I usually don't steer from the 6 o'clock, I'm usually at the 9 or 10 position...

I'm a 9/3 person or a 8/2. I Love how the wrx wheel is setup for both.
