    armrest part help needed

    I took the old armrest off my totalled 02, and forgot that bracket that it attatched to (metal piece) when closing on the deck. Where can i get this part?

    should be able to fabricate it. it's simple enough. you won't be able to buy it separately from subaru. i've tried.

    the issue is i forget what it looks like.. can you help describe it to me? Did you fabricate it yoruself?

    no problem. it isn't hard to make at all. best to use rigid stainless steel of a decent thickness. make sure to measure all the distances right and then just fold it up into the proper shape. if you have a dremel tool, it makes cutting out the slot MUCH easier. finally, i recommend you give it several coats of very durable black paint. it'll make it look nice and soften up the edges.

    I appreciate all your help. Do you happen to have the measurments for this piece? And where did you get the piece of steel? I do have a dremel. Let me know. thanks.

    easier than changing a light bulb and only took five minutes.

    I will pay someone if they can fabricate a working piece. Pm me if someone can do this for me, since i don't have a piece in hand anymore.
