    06 wrx factory alarm diasable

    Forgot how to do this.!!
I had shut it off before and now disconnected my battery so it's back on.
I want to shut off my factory alarm. I did it before but can't remember the sequence. It has something to do with the key in the ignition and the unlock and opening the door while holding the unlock.
Does anybody know how to do this?
If you turn off the alarm you can still use the keyless entry without setting the alarm. Also, if you lock the door with the door swithch, with the door open and the close it, it won't set.
You know when it is off because there is no audible beep!! while locking with the remote.
If any one knows how, please jog my memory.

Yep, I am an idiot. It is right in the owners manual. Duh. Go figure.
    Anyway here it is:
1- sit in the driver's seat
    2-alarm off
    3-all doors, including trunk, closed
    4-turn key on
5-hold down unlock on driver's door
6-within one second, open door while still holding unlock
7-continue holding unlock for ten seconds
You know this worked when the horn honks. From then on whenever you use the factory remote it will lock and unlock the doors without the beep! Factory alarm is off. Keyless entry only.
    Always check the owner's manual.!!
