    Subs with stock head unit?

I have heard a few people do this But I am unsure of where to run the RCA's Do you not have to put them in the back of the deck? I thought our stock units dont have rca's for sub output? So where do you put the RCA'S from the subs and amp?

I have this done. You'll need a little part called a line level adapter. Any audio place should have it. What it is is a little thingy that you splice into your speaker wires from your HU and that converts it into an RCA output. Then just plug your RCA's into that.
On another note, my doesn't sound all that great. I think I will be getting an aftermarket HU soon. Good luck. Let me know if you have any Q's.

    1. To the cig lighter.
    2. Yes, I connected it to the rear speaker wires right behind the HU.

Honestly, find a decent double din HU on eBay and call it a day. One of the first things I bought for my car was a Kenwood DD receiver for <$200. Better sound than stock, Aux-in jack for my iPod, plays MP3 CD's as well as tapes, and has RCA out if for a sub when/if I get around to getting one.

I really need one. The stock sub is getting on my nerves.

Yes, so anytime the car is on, the cig lighter gets power, so the amp turns on. When you take the key out, the power goes off.
