i have 2 diamond d6 12's powered by a rockford power series 500 in a custom sealed box, i dont know if i should upgrade to a ported box or upgrade amps to the power 1000, what do you think would make the biggest difference in bass power and not effect the sound quality drastically?

what is the RMS and Max power of a single one of those subs?

Also...keep in mind a sealed box is made with a smaller volume inside for tighter sound and better sound quality.

If you want just deep booming base and you aren't an audiophile who can tell the difference between decibles and quality...then a ported box will be what you want...

let me know about the subs and I will give you a suggestion.
