friend having sti alarm problems please HELP!!!

Hey ppl...so my friend just picked up an 04 sti used and messed up the allarm system. he stated that the locks keep going on and off and the alarm wont stop sounding. also the vehicle will not start whatsever. Does any one know what mode this is...i told him to do the on of thing 3 times in 5 sec. but it didnt work! By the way he has no key pad(needs to be programed). is their any solution. i have searched but came up with nothing usefull...if u know of a post then insert smart ass comment where u please then direct me to a usefull thread please!!!!!!!!

Hard reset. (unplug negative cable from battery for like 15 seconds) I don't see why that wouldn't work.
