07 STi Front Speaker Size

I just wanted to know if the 07 STi front speakers were 6.5 in ?

Yeah, but if you upgrade to an aftermarket speaker with any sort of magnet structure you will need to make or buy spacers to install them.

update plz.. did you have to use the spacers?

I ended up making speaker rings to help mount to speakers on the doors. The factory mounts are in the shape of a triangle. So i made 1/2 speaker rings to utilize the factory mounting hole.

bummer.. the focals were still too thick, huh? thnx for the quick update. any rattling issues between speaker and door panel/grill?
