I got gauges for christmas and installed all of them but couldnt figure out which wires were acc and ignition. I was wondering if anyone could explain or show me some pictures which wires these are?

i tapped into the back of my deck. from the best of my memory, acc is a wire that gives 12v when you have your headlights on, while ignition is any 12v that is on when your car is on.

the purple wire going into your headunit is the switched 12v that turns on when you turn your headlights on, and the yellow one is constant 12v. you need to be sure of this before you start cutting and splicing etc. if you have a multimeter you can find out for sure, thats the best way. or if you have the same year as me ill scan u a little diagram i got from crutchfield with my new deck.

you'll need to give more info if u want to know for sure, ie your gauges, model wrx etc etc

It's been over 3 years since I installed the head unit and speakers in my car.

Yellow as the un switched power sounds right.

I honestly am not sure about the purple being the switched radio power. The adapter I received from Crutchfield was tagged and I just wire matched it to the head wiring diagram to the supplied flying leads. I didn't have to look at the Subaru harness per se.

Fuse #9 is for the radio. If, you can see behind the fuse block, a purple wire at that location you are golden.

    Good luck,
    Many Happy Returns.
