    alpine iva-w200 w/ blackbird navi

I just got the Alpine IVA-W200 and its awesome!!! it is amazing! the blackbird navigation with dock works like a factory navigation system and displays the maps and directions on the HU screen. there is little to no lag because the dock enables you to tap into the speed sensor and it works great! the sound quality is head and sholders above the factory unit and the ipod interface is probably the best one out there. I no longer have any CD's in my car! The pulse touch is really cool. I haven't messed with the ipersonalize yet but will do so soon. overall i am very happy with the components.

next up phoenix gold amp, diamond audio speakers and some dynamat

It's pretty. Yea but don't you miss that stealth look of the stock HU?

    Just kidding. Looks great.

What do you need to have navigation system on that HU? Do you have to pay monthly?

you need the alpine blackbird, and its dock, you only pay a monthly fee if you want Navitraffic, which enables you to avoid traffic jams, if you can live without that (which I can) there is no monthly.

i know crutchfield is a bit expensive but i like having the pease of mind that comes from buying through a certified dealer and not having to worry if i have to retrun it, will they accept it. + crutchfield has great service very helpful.

its half the price of the DVD based alpine navi unit

edit:i'll get a pic up of how i had it mounted in my glove box soon

    oh yes....Merry Christmas everyone

right now everything aside from the HU is stock

next up are some daimond audio components and a pheionx gold amp

i don't plan on getting a sub, i dont awnt the weight nor the extra attention

if anything i'll fit an extra set of speakers on the rear decklid for some extra sound but thats as far as i'll go.
