    Replacing the dash...

Suppose you replaced your wrx dash with one from another wrx.. would it show the miles on the one you replaced from.. or still show original? because im looking at a car and it has really low milage which is kinda odd for being 2002..

The cluster stores the milage IIRC....and low miles on an 02 isnt odd...mine just hit 22,000 recently

exactly, the mileage displayed isn't sent to the cluster from the PCM, it's a number stored in the cluster's memory

if you replace the gauge cluster, the miliage will be from the last car.

Just so we get this straight, replacing the dash will just get you a different dash. On the other hand, replacing the gauge cluster would give you a different mileage reading as stated above.
