I am about to install a mechanical Autometer boost gauge that I got from a friend. He was kind enough to give it to me for free, and I think it's pretty decent looking. My question is, if I decided at some point in the future that I would like to upgrade to an electric gauge, would I be able to pop it into the cup and use the same connections (plus extra wiring of course)?

Yeah I'm not worried about that. I'm basically just wondering if my tubing and steering mounted cup would work for the same size electric gauge.
I dont see why it wouldnt... my adivce though is to go to home depot and get some good quality poly tubing instead of using the stuff that comes with the gauge.
