    The only law pertaining to radar detectors and the law in NC is that they cant be in vehicles over 18000 lbs (i.e. commercial vehicles). They are otherwise unregulated in North Carolina, and this is confirmed by someone I know in law enforcement. You might be thinking of driving into Virginia perhaps? Thanks for playing anyway...

    I had an escort 8500 till it got jacked so now im back to using my spidey sense which has never failed me i must say. If you are without my amazing skills though the escort is worth the money. I got a cop aiming the other way from about .5 miles away on a main street . The only complaint i have is that about a quarter of the KA warnings go without cop sightings.
