    Need help with Kenwood cd deck

    I was installing my deck into my car, the wiring is fine and my deck doesn't turn on. I blew the 15A fuse and replaced it but the deck still doesnt work. the fuse in the back is fine but im starting to think the deck is defective. Can someone help me out with this please?

    How did you blow the fuse and did you wire it using a wiring harness or just hard wire it?

    The first step I would try (if you used a wiring kit) is to plug the stock one in and see if it works. If it does check you wiring really, really good to make sure you had no mistakes. If that doesn't work it may be defective, but that is pretty rare especially if it was brand new.

    I used a wiring harness everything is correct. I had the deck for a couple months but I only took it out of the box once before. So far when I was testing it out it actually opened up once but after that it would just make a sound like it was ready to open and it wouldnt turn on at all. I'm thinking about buying a new deck but I'm gonna test it out on my bro's car before I actually go through with it.

    oh yeah also when i take the deck face plate off the red light on the deck is blinking so I know its getting power

    hmm I checked back on the wiring and found out on the wire harness that I got had the ground and power wires backwards, fixed it works fine now thanks!
