    02 WRX OAT sensor harness

    hey all,

just as a disclaimer i have read EVERY thread about this subject but im looking for futher info. im going to install an STI gauge cluster into my 02 WRX. i have read about building the circuit to provide the correct voltages to the OAT CPU.

when looking through the Wiring section in the factory service manual WI-107 to be exact

there appears to be an option for the OAT meter in the impreza in 02 was this not offered in the WRX? im wondering if the connector for the sensor is present in the WRX.

it is a black 2 pole connector "F78" and is shown located behind the grill emblem(WI-131) branching of the harness that the horn uses. the wires are Black with a Pink tracer and Black with a bLue tracer.

anyone know if this is there on a 02 WRX im not going to be with my car for about a week and want to get all the info to complete this project up front

if your really bored and have your car apart im wondering if there is continuity between these line and pins B11 (Black/ Pink) and B8 (Black and bLue)

If so this makes this project sooooo much easier!

i plan on making a in depth how to on the whole thing to compiment the one already on here about making the voltage regulator.
