sti hvac controls into an 06 wrx tr

I really hate how the hvac controls look like.
For me they look very cheap!
No disrespect though, for i am a 2006 wrx tr owner myself.

so the question is,
is it possible to install the regular wrx or sti hvac controls into the tr ?
which parts ?
anyone done it ?

I would have to say physically they would fit, but if you look, the regular 06 WRX has an auto setting, which the TR doesn't. Since that is the case, the control module for the HVAC must be different so this would also need to be swapped. I'm sure its possible, but is it worth all the work?
