6 x 9 speakers

Has anyone ever installed 6x9 speakers in a WRX (more specifically, 02 or 03 model)? I have a set of 6x9 Polk speakers with housings that are just sitting around. Is there a good place to install these w or w/o housings?

I would like to know this answer too. How about putting them above the back seat, like old school? Anyone??

There is a few threads on here about doing it, but generally it's more accepted to just upgrade the stock speakers because it's so difficult to do.
