A quick question: I just noticed that the knob that controls where the air goes (feet, windscreen, face) on my WRX doesn't go all the way to the windscreen defrost position as indicated by the graphic on the dash. When I try to turn it there, I hear a clunk in the dash of the system switching vents, but the knob wants to stop 10 or 15 degrees short of the position, and it doesn't feel as positive as the other positions. Is this where it's supposed to stop? I get some air flow, but since the car is new to me, I'm not sure how much I'm supposed to feel.

Do us all a favor: work on learning how to drive your car before adding more power. Pretty please.
hmm mine dosent do that at all....when u turn it that far is it like a definate stop....or is there like a little resistance....maybe try turning it with a little bit of force...obviously not enough to break stuff though.
Mine does that, I asked at the dealer last time I went there. I even checked out a few imprezas on the lot. It seems that most did it in some degree of similarity. The service manager said it wasn't a big deal, and functions fine.
