Find a diagramme showing the wiring code for the factory sub for your particular year and model, and see if you can use that harness, extended, to connect your sub.

it should i have a phoenix gold amp and sub in my trunk that is hooked up to the factory 6disk changer. although I cannot tell you exactly how it is hooked up. I believe somehow it is through the subaru sub channel but i could be wrong be awhile since i had wires run and hooked up in there, but it is definitely possible. an aftermarket head unit would be the way to go if you wanted it to really sound good or new door speakersplus amp for them, with the sub and the factory stereo

You could use a line out converter.

That's the link to the subaru radio harness pin-out.

Most car audio place that are worth their salt will have a component that switches a set of stock speaker wires to RCA for an amp hookup. I am assuming you need RCA jacks for the amp on the tube. Hell, Best Buy or Circuit City shold have what you are looking for. The bad part is you splice into the factor harness. Dont get cut happy with your wire cutters. The harness probably isnt cheap.
