This question probably does not belong here, but hypothetically speaking, if one was to purchase a new boost gauge (Maddad Rx for example), could it be installed using the same equipment used for the OEM boost gauge? Just so one wouldn't have to rewire and rehose everything.

I've been holding off on gauges for months just to see how these turned out. All the results so far are beyond impressive for the WRX. I bought a 2 gauge package along with the Autometer 2 gauge bezel. They should be arriving Tuesday or Wednesday, and I'll have pictures up as soon as I can.

No, I have no connection to Maddad. I'm just a picky customer, and I've been waiting a long, long time for these gauges to be available.

    autometer CF gauges.

I just posted a thing on how to make them dim with the rest of the console

    Dimming Gauges Wireing

    ---------

I searched around for info about this and didn't find any definitive answers but i gathered some info and tried this and it works with mechanical gauges.

if your putting gauges on the A pillar a good place to power them is the fog light or cruise control switches.

Both switches have a purple and orange wire, Purple is positive and orange is the ground.

Apparently there is a current in the orange ground wire that makes the lights dim.

So crimp the gauges ground wire to the Orange and your gauges will dim with the rest of the console lights.
