Are these any good?

Hey guys Im looking at gauges and I was hoping some of you would tell me if these are a good buy or not, I know there are not the fanciest gauges. Thanks!

well... im gonna go ahead and say you get what you pay for. not really that the most expensive is the best but... ive got an example. a local shop recently got a kid who brought his single cam civic and an EBAY!!! turbo kit to be installed. well upon first inspection the kit looks pretty decent quality stuff. but after the install and a test drive proved a fault wastegate, leaky oil inlet line, and a bov that didnt even show sign of working. so spend the extra money and get a little more of respectable product...again this is just my .02 cents and it's your decision.

Glow shifts really arent that bad. They are bright as hell thats for sure. ive got a glowshift boost gauge and i like it.

thanks for your guys input, I think Im just going to wait and save up some more more money. Umm what kind of gauges in your opinion are the best for the buck, I want ones that have illumination. Oh and is there really any benifit of getting electrical vs. mechanical? I have an 05 wrx if that helps any. Thanks

Autometer makes nice ones. The sportcomp one's are my favorite.

the pillar itself is probably fine.

I went with VDO gauges. they're very no-frills in the looks department, but they're very acurate and reliable. relatively cheap too. most of their gauges are aviation/marine/race grade gauges so they're very resistent to vibration, they don't fail, and they WORK.
