2017 Footwell Illumination - Opinion (Red, Blue, or None)

Planning on purchasing a 2017 WRX Limited in the next week. I'm torn on the footwell illumination. I'm looking for opinions. Red, blue, or skip entirely. I've seen some posts that say red matches interior lighting better. But seen other posts that indicate red footwell illumination results in "too much red" through the cabin. Also, how bright is the light? I assume its dim enough to not be obtrusive at night? Also - when are footwell illumination lights on? I assume footwell lights are on when headlights are on and off when headlights are off?

Thanks in advance for the help.

    Chad

My wife's Legacy has blue footwell lights . . . neat to see the first time . . . but I never saw a real value in them to either purchase them when I bought my WRX or to install afterwards.
