Hey guys, with black friday and cyber monday deals right ahead I have been wanting to get a new shift knob. I have narrowed down to 2 knobs. The cobb knob, or the perrin one. Any pics and opinions on which one you like better would be very useful. Thanks in advance!!
I have the Perrin knob for my STi (for sale), and it was fine. I upgraded to a Lathewerks sphere and love it (not cheap though). My thoughts if you are hung up between the COBB and Perrin ones would be to go with the COBB, as the Delrin will not be as reactive to extreme temperature swings as the metal Perrin knob.
WC LatheWerks fully customizable.
They might do something for Black Friday doesn't hurt to check.
Otherwise I like the Cobb. But I'm partial to Cobb.
My power mods are Cobb, AP, SF intake, Cobb catted down pipe.
But shop around, they'll be a lot of sales.
Thanks for input guys. Very helpful. I do like the WC LAtheWerks knobs. And Ill keep my eye out for sales on their end. I will add I like the fact that the perrin knob can adjust up to an inch. But the fact that it gets hot in the warmer months really turns me off to it.
I currently the cobb shift knob as well, but I am more partial to taller teardrop types. Those lathewerks look great! As far as the cobb goes, the delrin material is nice and doesn't get too hot in the summer.
That's a good one.
You can have it knurled if you want. They do quality work, I love my shifter.
I got the shifter patern on mine.
Lots of options there.
Check out Killer B and Billetworks as well.
LathWerks is still my favorite.
