    Hi all!
Here is a strange question, if I remove my stock receiver that is Bluetooth capable.
And I put the Bluetooth receiver in my Moms 09 Impreza 2.5i, will the Bluetooth hands free phone work?
Does it need anything particular to make it work? The new aftermarket receivers have adapters to work with steering wheel controls. So I wonder if you can make a newer handsfree receiver work with an older car?

I'd guess yes, I don't think much really changed. Should still be plug and play and shouldn't need anything else

One of my friends installed an aftermarket head unit and had to install the bluetooth Mike that came with his head unit. I believe there is an extra step if you don't replace with an OEM unit.

Tim, In theory this should work so long as the wire harness plugs right into the Impreza. Foresters, Impreza's, WRX's, and most nissans have the same wiring harness for the stereo. However if it does not work I'm not entirely sure as to what do to make it work. Truly there is only one way to find out. Give it a whirl and let us know!
