    My ghetto boost gauge mount

I broke my boost gauge mount that was located behind my steering wheel this week somehow. I have been looking for a simple single gauge holder and while i was turning some stuff on my lathe i figured i would make something basic with some scrap oak and poplar. Nothing fancy, still needs a coat of poly but it should do the trick... i didn't want to spend any money so i jumped in the scrap pile... can't beat free +30 mins. Ya and i know it doesn't match at all with the inside of the car, wish i would have had some black stain.

If later on you find the wooden pod is too hipster for you, then I'll send you my pod. Just a plain cup that can be double sided taped or drilled and mounted anywhere.

    I'll cut you a deal; $5+shipping.

Lol, that's awesome. I actually like it, it's definitely unique and I'm sure if you go to meets and such it will definitely drum up a good conversation.

Im all about that. You could probably sell a few of those.
    Find a low-mileage one-owner unmodified '04/'05 and you're golden.

I thought about that... i turned this one on my lathe in 15 mins. The glue wasnt even dry, i sanded it down with 200 grit, usually i finish sanding at lease with 400 grit. I could get the hard wood to shine like glass if i go with 1000+ grit. Now that i made this i might take my time on my next one and finish it properly and toss it up on ebay.

That's awesome. Any pictures of it installed in the car? I'm curious to see what it looks like mounted.
