I wear driving gloves and I agree that a werks knob is the way to go but I can't bring myself to pay that much money just yet, so I got the Perrin fat Knob and I absolutely love it. The STI Duracon knob was far too light where the Perrin for me is the perfect weight. At some point in time I'll suck it up and drop the near 200 dollars for the werks knob I want.

i have the SS knob in a gunmetal finish
WC Lathe Werks | Truly Unique Shift Knobs, Proudly Hand-Crafted in The USA!

i like the sphere because it fits nice in the palm of your hand and i can also grab it from the side and put my pinky on the bottom part of the knob. depends on just how my body goes to grab it lol.

i thought about engraving but i wanted to smooth feeling in my palm, not hitting the engraving,. im happy with my choice. it does get hot if in direct sun, but with my windows tinted and if sun isnt direct the heat doesnt really make it that hot. i also bought the little bag for if it does get hot or cold.

the SS knob is , i believe, the heaviest knob they made. the only shifter upgrade i had before the knob was a stock upgraded sti short shifter and my shifting always felt "notchy" and unsmooth going from gear to gear. put the new knob on and it was like getting a whole new shifter setup. this knob sits like an inch lower than the stock one because of the way its drilled. loveeeee it. after the knob i installed front and rear shifter bushings and it felt a tiny bit firmer but not really much.. i think the bushings wouldve been a better upgrade if i didnt have the shift knob awesomeness. but oh well theyre in now lol.

but +99999999 for WC knobs. hands down the easiest and instantly best feeling mod ive purchased for my car. best part is you feel it every time and the love doesnt die lol

If the OP believes Lathewerks is pricey, I can't imagine what he'd think about KillerB anything!

Okay. I'm gonna go with the Elite VP, I think. It seems like it's a good combination of weight, looks, and ergonomics.

I just got a flossy heavyweight redhead and love it. It doesn't get terribly hot and you can get them engraved. It takes a while to get the knob (if you get a custom engraving which is worth it) but the weight definitely makes a big difference in feel when shifting. I previously had a Blox weighted knob which was equally as good, only it got way too hot/cold for my taste

The knobs are pretty low priced actually, lol, but I hear you, my shopping list from those guys will be an easy "k" if I'm remembering right.

The knobs are like $30-50 I believe.
