Can you change the color of the instrument cluster on 08+ WRX?

Hey guys, pretty new to the forums and new to the WRX world. I have an 08 and I love the car but I really wish I could change the instrument cluster to a different color, probably blue. Can it be done? Any advice?

You can always change the color of any light. It may take simply replacing bulbs, removing film, or both.. I'm not that familiar on 3rd gen.

The gen 3 is LED lights right into the motherboard. That's where it gets tricky. They are red LED's

Then it's a desolder/solder job (probably less tricky than scraping the film).. different color LEDs are cheap.

Yea these things are tiny. I don't know if I have the skill set. There's a video on YouTube of a guy having gauge trouble and you can see the LED's. There's like 25 LED's

Those all work great with the older models. The newer ones have LED's instead of bulbs and gel covers. It sucks. Thanks for your input though.

Talk to Cory @ Interior Flair, he does lighting effects on all different clusters. He could hook it up for you real nice if you're worried about doing it yourself.

I have used Welcome to Bluegauges.com for my bike in the past. It's all relatively the same with car clusters if they use SMD LED's. Send him a message and see what he can do? He will need your cluster
