Subaru red illumination kit install on 2013 WRX.

Just installed kit thought someone might need some help if they were going to do one themselves.
    1. Install the drivers side and passenger side led lights per instructions of the subaru kit
    2. Remove trim panel around the stereo
    3. You will see plastic duct work remove 2 phillips head screws that hold the duct in place and remove duct
    4. Locate the factory led in the cubby hole reach in where duct used to be and push factory led out of cubby
    5. Take illumination kit harness and feed it to the drivers and passenger side and plug harness into already mounted led.
    6. Unplug cubby led from factory harness and plug the factory harness and the lumination kit harness together.
    7. Connect the last connector of the lumination kit to the cubby led light and reinstall it back into the cubby.
    8. Reinstall trim panel around stereo and you should be all set.
It took me about 15 mins from start to finish. i hope this will help if anyone is going to install one

Maybe one of our vendors can get one for you. Or you can find them at the dealer or at external websites.

Ordered mine from the dealer it was like $38. It wasn't bad. I only had to wait a day for them to get it in.

Yeah they do look good. I'm glad there just a soft glow. I can't handle the reql bright ones. I notice thqt the glove box has the same mounting as the led in the cubby I'm wondering if you can change that to red to match the other ones? Any thoughts

Any pics of the finished product? I had under dash lighting on my previous ride and think this will be one of my first projects

Installed some yesterday on my '12 WRX,

you can do it pretty easily without removing any trim panels, there is a video floating around that explains how to use a coat hanger to guide wiring to each side.

took me 15 min without removing any trim panels

Just got the red ones and installed it today. Once you figure out how to pop out the center cubby light and snake the wire the rest is easy.

For anyone going to try this, for the passenger side, it makes it easier if you open the glove box to fish out the wire.

Looks good when all is said and done though, and I'm glad it's not too bright
