4 point racing harness? Q/A

Hello, I have a 2003 wrx and I do lots of track days so I figured its time for a racing harness! Plus I think they look cool

! Anyways, I was thinking about getting a corbeau retractable harness for daily use, but I'm not sure how/where the top is supposed to mount, does anyone have one that could provide pictures? Also, I know some harnesses (sparco) require a bar to be mounted, does this interfere with reclining? Thanks everyone!

Do not use them for daily use.
The corbeau mounts to the upper driver back seatbelt mount.
The harness bars will interfere with reclining for sure. As well as make your back seat useless due to its danger to your passengers in an accident.

Look up some harness bar failures too, they do not provide enough support in a daily driving accident, they bend in half and then your sweet looking harness is useless.

Harnesses ideally will be mounted to a roll cage. Also not good for daily driving.

If you're looking to stay put in your seat, look up the CG lock for your stock seatbelt.

Okay, I am only half confused now.. If a harness bar is good enough for a racing accident, why would it not be good enough for a road accident..? And if my harness bar was to bend, I'm sure it'd be the least of my worries

The point is the harness bar is not good enough for an accident.

I understand that point, I just don't see how... If its good enough for the racing world, logic would dictate it should be good enough for a daily driving scenario.
