Thanks to Joe at JPM...my control unit for the JBL MS-8 is mounted for good. It looks great and fits perfectly.

so you have a wrx but a sti center console? did you swap it to have the lid that goes over the cup holders?

It is a STI shifter surround, center console and cup holder assembly. I got it used for 20 bucks and it was a lot easier for the guys at JPM to wrap.

I am awaiting my 2013 to arrive and am going to start with an JBL MS-8 running the stock gear and HU. Then I will begin with adding new speakers and my Nakamichi 10" sub. I really like the Hertz HDP5 amp also. May also look at the Alpine PDX 5 channel as well.

Are there any tips or trick to the wiring of the MS-8 from the Stock HU? Any adapters to make this easier that I need to make sure I order?

You are going to use the stock speaker wire outputs to input into the MS-8 so you shouldn't need any adapters. I never ran anything with the stock headunit.
