At that price I'd consider Bell and/or Whistler. Consult Radar Roy instead of asking here though. He has data.

Obviously obeying the speed limit isn't so easy in a WRX, so I was thinking of investing in a radar detector.
I was hoping for some opinions on some good radar detectors that a $150 or less.
Thanks!

Top radars that I'm using are Valentine One and Passport 9500iX. Search on Craigslist for used around $250 a piece. These saves me many times.
If you want it to be even a little bit useful you should really pick up a quality detector. The V1 or 9500ix as well as a few others are great performers. I have rocked a V1 for many years and It has provided countless saves. Also understand a detectors limitations. The first time you assume it will give you adequate warning in any situation will be when you get a ticket.
At that price range, you can get an Escort 8500 used.
