But for real, how does the process work, is it vinyl or some sort of printing?
I think I actually saw this technique used on one of those motorcycle shows on discovery. It seems like a laminent that when placed in water can be transfered to a bunch of different materials. Think it's also called hydrographics. It's pretty cool but looks like it takes a little talent to master.

I believe it's also called hydrocoating. It's how they get graphics on guns such as camo graphics on the AR15/M4/etc.

So it does last, and it will work for metal... Im gunna look into having some trim done (i.e. the vent circles in the interior) I thinkd look sweet!
