    Simple cubby mod

Looking to do something with the cubby underneath the stereo. The 08 Impreza doesn't have a lip to stop things from falling out and is very slippery. I bought one of those 3$ sticky pads but it doesn't work too well.

    Any suggestions?

Well, you could try to locate a later model center console....from like a 10/11/12 as those have a lip.

Other than that, you could try a non slip mat....not one of those sticky pads, but rubber. The '11 has rubber lining the cubby, and my cell never slides at all. You could DIY this by getting a cheap mouse pad, flip it upside down, trim to fit, and double stick tape it in place.
