    Is the center armrest extension for a 2011 WRX worth it?

    I typically drive on open country roads to work if that means anything

    I have it.I use it to rest my elbow between & during shifts.So it is useful to me.

    Totally worth it. Bought my car without it and the armrest is completely worthless! Bought the extended armrest a few months later and it was the greatest mod I've done thus far

    Have it in mine, totally worth it. I'm a smaller guy, only 5'-7" so it comes in super handy lol.

    Got to disagree with you all. On my last car (e46 M3), I usually left the armrest tilted out of the way because my elbow hit it during shifts. Love that the regular armrest sits low enough to clear my elbow during shifting.
    I'm a dweeb and drive with both hands on the wheel (habit I picked up in autoX) so I don't rest my elbows on either the door or center armrest.

    I had one friend who didn't like it and did a straight trade for the normal version. My advice for the OP is to try a car with/without. Then again, they could probably find a taker in the trade offer I mentioned.

    I can't live without it. I'm 5'11" and rest my arm on it basically all the time. My seat is set as low as it can go and farther rearward than average, I think. My wife rests her arm on it too when she's passenger and we don't have to fight over it- wide enough for two (does that sound creepy? ; ) ). Definite must-have!
