    gauges..opinions?

Hey guys, was wondering if you could shed a little light on some of the gauges I have mounted in my car and what they are used for? I know of course the boost gauge but what about air/fuel ratio? pyrometer?

Also, what do you guys think about the look of the gauges in the car? I have mixed emotions.

boost, afr and egt (what you have) are great gauges to have - if you had space for one more, I'd add an oil pressure gauge.

the afr gauge (wideband O2 sensor) - I'm assuming it actually works, and you just got a picture of it off? This can give great insight into what's happening with you car. Read all about tuning and such, and you'll know what the number means. Basically, the "ideal" is about 14.7, but it'll never get that high - most of the time you'll sit closer to 11 or 12, less if you're running rich, more if you're getting closer to lean. In other words, not something you have to worry about in normal driving, but if you get into tuning or want to evaluate a tune, it'll give you tremendous insight.

The egt (pyrometer) is exactly what it's called - the temperature of your exhaust gas. It's basically leaner = hotter, within a certain range. This is another gauge that, with the proper knowledge, can help you evaluate the health of the car and the success and health of a tune.

That's not a wideband sensor. The one you have is nothing but a light show.
