Speakers for 2003 Subaru WRX Sedan

I've been in the market for some new speakers for sometime now. The companies that I've contacted so far keep telling me that adding new speakers require modifications to the door panel.

Crutchfield was unable to help.
"I doubt anyone will have any speakers shallow enough unfortunately."

Can anyone recommend speakers (front & back) for a 2003 Subaru WRX Sedan?

Dealers? (San Jose, CA area).

pioneer speakers r just shallow enough to fit behind the panel and level i mean a pinch of room between the window track. advise though either make replica factory mount plates or mod the factory one by cutting and fitting new ones thats what i did wasnt pretty but did the job. 2ways up front due to upgraded twitters in factory location and 3ways in back spent 100 bucks for all the speakers and quick connect terimanals that plug right into the factory speaker plugs no need to cut guess and check just plug and play.

Many places sell speaker spacers as well as spacer adapters to allow a bigger speaker to fit in place... it's been discussed on here before and would be easily found with a search...

Get a set of speaker spacers. Here are two options for you:
