    Help identifying a switch.

I just got the car a week ago. Under the steering wheel, on the panel edge, there is a mounted switch with a light (switch is on the back, the light is facing the driver). In one position, the switch blinks the green light, in the other - it's a solid light. There is a boost gauge mounted on top of the cluster (Defi), figured it might be related
    wtf is this? lol

    TIA

Can you just call and ask the previous owner? It looks to be aftermarket. Switches can control anything people want them too. Maybe somebody around here has seen it though with a common product. See if you can get a hold of the previous owner in the mean time.

I'd just be worried it was an alarm or something I'd set off accidentally without knowing.

No idea. It's obviously aftermarket. Follow the wires?

I got it from a dealership. Previous owner is in a different state, and I have no idea who it is or how to get hold of them (maybe they've been here at some point? ). But it seems to not do anything at all other than the light pattern change. The wires go up toward the cluster, I just didn't feel like digging since many of you guys are very knowledgeable. I will check later today then

It really could be anything: i.e. intercooler water spray, aftermarket alarm, or even a switch that controls the ridiculous neons underneath your car

but here's a serious thought... I may take a guess that the switch is for a 2-stage MBCS system. Do you notice that the car's boost dynamics (WGDC) change when the switch is in on/off position?

I haven't tried it while driving. In fact, this morning the light was off as I was driving to work Never noticed that before. Once I'm off, I will check where the wires go, and will play with it while driving and texting at the same time...

I think he's referring to the light pattern of the LED
