09 Speaker Depth - Speaker Decision Help

    Hi Guys,

I am just about to get a set of new speakers for an 09 and have been looking up on the forums and there seems to be issues with mounting normal speakers? Does this mean I should go for a shallow speaker?

I have kinda narrow down my choices to 3:

    Focal 165V1s

    Rockford P1652S

    Pioneer TS-D1720C

Are the Focals really that good? Because the shop which I listened to them in, it didnt stand out to the Pioneer ones... but then the mounting depth and whether they would hit the door trim question came in? Any advice would be great

You will need to modify the original bracket whatever you do, although most on here will tell you im a JL nut! Go have a listen to some JLC2s they are awesome and very shallow.
