i was looking at a 7th gen sti cluster for my 06 wrx i was just wondering if i could just plug it in and it will work?
if not what gen sti cluster will work and what will i have to do to make it work?![]()
7th gen STi? Is that the 2008-2010? We go by Version's 'round these parts.
As far as I know, any STi cluster from 04-07 will work in your car. I'm not sure if there's any re-pinning that needs to be done, though.
The wiring harnesses don't match up. It'll take a little custom rewiring. It won't be fun, but it's doable. Google "Sti Clister in a WRX"

You should be able to make it work. I think some of the pins are going to be different.
Lots of people have taken newer clusters and installed them on older cars. So installing an older cluster on a newer car should be a similar process.
It's V7, not Gen7.
V7 (or version 7) means it's out of a Bugeye style Impreza.
From a V7 it's plug and play to my knowledge, but it will be in metric not imperial.
