Get a boost gauge. As said, all turbo cars should have one.
I use the real time feature to read boost on the COBB AP v2 it always stores a low (vacum) and high recorded (boost) How accurate is the AP for realtime boost reading?

The AP is going to be more accurate than many gauges. It reads exactly what the ECU does. Though, I find a needle easier to follow for readings than a digital display (which at one point I had).

Good choice. Well the dealer fixed the car, there was a pin hole leak in one of the vacuum hoses. Just got the car back and the gauge is perfect. Worth it in my opinion. Good luck with your purchase!

I would go with the SPT boost gauge if I did.

    Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
That's what I thought when I first got my WRX (it had an OEM Lamco when new). Get one. Oh, don't bother waiting for the warranty to run out for the accessport ... you will want one way before then.

Possibly. It's nice to see how and when it kicks in.

MPa as in Lamco? The one in my 2004 WRX is actually quite accurate.

I know ... just tossing in my $0.02.

You will end up getting an accessport (or some other tune) before the warranty is up. Deal with it.

One day you will get used to the velocity ... and will want more.

The accessport is a nice tool on which to build. Stage 1, stage 2 and then a custom protune. I did each stage a little at a time.

Got my protune nearly a year ago. It still amazes me.

I think I need to get in a WRX with a stage 1 or stage 2 tune so I can feel the difference.

    Is it really THAT noticeable?

I called a SPT dealer in WI and it was 117 for the install alone, 320 if they bought the gauge.
