    Hood Scoop Upgrade

Just upgraded my stock hood scoop to an STi style scoop.

Does anyone know if the air diffuser/separator needs to be put back in place? If it doesn't really matter, I'm gonna leave it off...unless it's a bad idea for some reason. Thanks.

I am guessing its there for a reason....doesn't it help isolate it from the rest of the engine bay as well as help spread air all over the top of the intercooler?

I would put it back on...but that's just me!!

You need an STi (or equivalent) splitter

No, he needs whatever splitter matches his intercooler.

No splitter isn't the brightest of ideas.

OK, thanks guys. That's all I needed to know!

I have a stock WRX intercooler, so I'll put the stock splitter back on. Drove it today for a short distance, turbo seemed just a bit more responsive but that may just be in my head lol.
