This is a discussion on firewall holes?! within the Interior Mods forums, part of the Tech & Modifying & General Repairs category; are there any firewall holes in my 05 wrx....if so where...ive been digging around trying to run a power cable ...

    firewall holes?!

    are there any firewall holes in my 05 wrx....if so where...ive been digging around trying to run a power cable from the battery to the firewall hole for my subs
    any help would be appreciated.

    Nearly any of the rubber grommets in the firewall have openings that are usable. You'll want to cut a hole in them to route the wire through.

    I think the closest to the battery would be the one used for the oem boost gauge (just behind the intercooler).

    i found one right below the brake master cylinder..it comes thru above the pedals on the other side...
    thanks
    that one was pretty easy to because it was close to the battery and the side that i wanted to run the wire on

    firewall holes

    will these firewall holes allow a 4 gauge wire to pass thru? and has anyone found any other firewall holes besides the one behind the intercooler? thanks!

    I used the one behind the pedals. Two four gauge wires and a vacuum line for boost.. although I was never able to get the grommet back in properly.
