    Turbo Timer Question

Was thinking about getting a simple turbo timer (hks typ 1) and was wondering once all hooked up when car shuts off will it lock my doors automatically and arm the alarm or do i still have to use the key remote? Sounds like a dumb question but i just really couldnt find the answer anywhere. Thanks for the help

No, it won't lock your doors automatically.

    No, you don't need one.

The turbo timer will do nothing for you. You might as well spend your money elsewhere.

To answer your question it will not lock your doors for you.

You lock the car and arm is when you leave, turbo timer just keeps the engine running. That's how it worked in my 300zx, not 100% sure on subaru setup.

Turning on the alarm on a running car will not end the way you want much of the time. The alarm will be set off by vibrations.

I disagree...The Blitz DTT I had was the best as doubling for a boost gauge nd for warm-ups.....

I didn't think the stock alarm had shock sensors. when I first got my 06 I had an indash nav and someone broke the window an no alarm went off. the funny part was when the cops showed up I opened the door and then the stupid alarm started going off. I now have a compustar alarm witch has the turbo timer and automatic starter.

Saying that a turbo timer is useless is a bit much as it will extend the life of the turbo, but having said that it is really not necessary unless you are racing and or driving like Brian O'connor.
