    drl(daytime runners) problem

    so i have hid's and i dont really want to invest in more parts. the DRL are screwing with my hid's during the day and it annoys me. is there a way i can disable the daytime running lights without cutting anything? or if need be?

    You can start by removing those HIDs from lights made for halogens so that you're not blinding other drivers.

    Then you can unplug the DRL box behind the glovebox.

    im slightly confused, so i should take them off? like completly? or take them off, then take of the drl box behind the glove and then put them back on? thanks for the reply btw

    HIDs should not be used in lights designed for halogens. The optics are designed differently due to different shaped bulbs, light intensity, and heat. When you mismatch them, you're blinding other drivers.

    Whats wrong with that? I like when people flash me their brights, I just blind them more with my brights. But I have JDM headlights so i can fix it, but i dont.

    my 04 wrx has lights meant for halogen? hmm should i ask where i bought them from, which ones i actually got? please and thanks!

    Yes, they came from the factory with halogen lights did they not? The shop you got them from won't be able to answer any questions for you, they just take orders and arrange shipment.
