    2009 dash mod ;-)

Ok, so a BMW owning buddy was busting me once again about the supposed "lack of sophistication" of the WRX compared to his more expensive (& slower) car.

My reply" "Heck, anybody can put wood grain trim in a car!"

One quick, very amateur Photoshop job later......

(I hope you find this pic as funny as I do!)

But sometimes you just have to think "Why?!"

(like when I saw the low rider Edsel at the Lead East car show a few years back...)

That is pretty awful but I've never understood the need to put wood interior components in my car, especially fake wood. Just tell your buddy to enjoy his sophistication while looking at your Subie as you pass him.

    Question

Has anyone painted theirs? I have painted a lot of interior pieces in my Charger R/T!! Is it hard to remove these pieces? It was easy on the Charger.

Im sorry but I have always felt that if you want wood grain, cd changers, sunroofs, butt warmers and everything else then you should not be looking at an economic enthusiast car.

Best car to date IMOP is the 04 STi. Not even a stereo.

The silverish part of the interior does seem like it would be really easy to paint. Would be a bold move though...

    Wood grain is ghetto fabulous.

I'll more than likely do it when the time comes? Is there any nice CF kits for the WRX?

I did this on my Audi S4, it turned out great. It's cheap and it just take a little time to do:
