Rear Speaker Question?

Today i tryed to install all new speakers in my 2002 WRX and ran into 1 problem.

Polk Audio DB651 (6.5in Coaxial) Front
Polk Audio DB521 (5.25in Coaxial) Rear
and this install kit/spacers Complete Speaker Adapter Kit Subaru 96-07, Saab 9-2x IA Performance

The fronts fit fine and sound great, but the rears... dont fit, even with the spacer. they seem to be too wide for the speaker hole. The hole is not even round.. its kinda stop sign/squarish shaped.

I was thinking about getting the hammer out and bangin the metal some to make room but I would rather not do that.

Am I missing something, or am I just out of luck?

you just need to look up what size speakers are supposed to fit in your car. i know the best buy website has a pretty large database, someone who knows will chime in shortly im sure tho
