Has anyone upgraded their WRX shifter to a short-throw (available upgrade from Subaru)?
Is it difficult, or just some unbolting of frame/linkage, swap, repeat?
Also, on the 09 WRX, I notice that the shifter moves around as you drive, this annoys me, is there a fix for this, or is it a design issue? My Honda shifter does not do this, it feels completely isolated from the engine, but it has further to go. I am thinking on the subaru, since the engine/tranny sit in a more rear-drive style (not transverse), the shifter almost goes straight into the tranny???????
