    Can a decal on windshield fail inspection?

    Hi, im getting my car inspected tomorrow and i have a decal across the top passenger corner of my windshield about 12 inches long. its set on an angle not straight across. Can i fail inspection for this?

    How are we supposed to answer that, you don't even say where you are from?

    Check your local regulations regarding window decals.

    **** im sorry. im from NJ. the decal is also see thorugh (outlined) im gonig there tommorow with my brother. he is first and im gonig to ask them right away. if i fail im just going to take it off there

    The common law from what I have seen is that nothing can obstruct the window below the UV strip at the top.

    FYI in PA they can technically give you a ticket for having anything hanging hanging from your rear view mirror because it obstruct your mirror.

    yeah the law is the same in NJ
