    proper way to install speakers?

Okay so I know I'm probably gunna get bashed on for this, but when I put my speakers in they ended up hitting the windows, and I got lazy and decided to put them in a "different" way. basically I cut circular holes in the door panels and mounted the speakers to the plastic.... yes. Anyways my question is, although they sound better than stock, it's going to KILL my sound quality isn't it?

they will probably vibrate the plastic pretty bad. There are inserts you're supposed to install (spacers) for a 6.5" speaker in the front door.

Speakers aren't like subwoofers. Subs need to have specific air space requirements. Those speakers that sit in the door don't have air space requirements. And the doors aren't sealed... So it shouldn't make a difference. But the speakers will be reverberating the plastic instead of the metal... so if they don't vibrate now.. they probably will in the future.
