    Question Changing kilometers to miles?

    I have an 05 sti and the odometer reads in Km's. Does anyone know how to change it back to miles? I need to know for warranty issues.

    So it sounds like you bought the car used with a JDM or other Non-USDM gauge cluster.

    You'd need to know how many miles where on the car when the gauge cluster was installed, we'll call this A.
    You'd also need to know how many KM's where on the gauge cluster when it was installed. Subtract how many KM's you have now, by how many KM's where on the cluster when it was installed, giving you N. Then using N * 0.625 = M, M is how many miles you have on the gauge cluster post install.

    M + A = Total miles.

    If you don't have this information, then there really is no way to know for sure how many miles are on the car.

    Question

    Thanks for the reply. I was wondering if there was a certain way to physically do it from the gauge cluster itself ? i.e. holding down the rev limiter and trip button together or something because it is electronic. Subaru of America said there is a way but they werent totally sure.
