    Door card material swapping

I recently won '04 STI door cards on eBay for $56. But one of the rear cards looks like someone stabbed it with a knife and ballpoint pen.

So I was just gonna swap the material out onto my existing door card. Question is, can I just take the back panel off and replace it? Or is the material glued onto front of something I can't take off? Also, how do you remove these kinds of bolts?

If not, what might an upholstery place charge to do this?

I believe the material itself is glued onto it along with some padding. Someone on another forum mentioned drilling those "screws" and later replacing them with small bolts/nuts.

So have you gotten around to replacing them yet? I'd like to see some results

I had it fixed. YOu can't even tell it was damaged. The door cards went on the car earlier today.

Wanna buy my WRX door cards?

Haha, I'm cool, thanks. Replacing the cloth will be my next project so no need for new door cards (unless I mess up haha).

So you just replaced the "leathery" part of the door cards, not the cloth?
